Along with both drummers William Winant and Tom Surgal, Sonic Youth guitarist Thurston Moore has designed a headstrong architecture of sound. Made of sensitive energy and pure sound, the two-part live improvisation recorded at the Taktlos Festival 1997 in Zurichs Rote Fabrik has now appeared under the title «Lost to the City / Noise to Nowhere.»
«Lost to the City» is a homage to the Italian architect and designer Aldo Rossi, and «Noise to Nowhere» is dedicated to the contemporary Romanian composer Iancu Dumitrescu.
